Tratamiento de la incontinencia fecal: una visión quirúrgica

Se presenta una revisión sobre los diferentes tratamientos para la incontinencia fecal, con especial énfasis en los resultados de los procedimientos quirúrgicos para esta afección. La revisión aborda un enfoque integral y personalizado para el manejo de los pacientes con incontinencia fecal, que es de capital importancia, en el que se deben ponderar los resultados de las diferentes opciones terapéuticas en su relación con la calidad de vida de los pacientes. Por último, se sugiere un algoritmo de tratamiento para dicha condición.
