In Memory of Professor Rodolfo Ernesto Corti

Abstract

On Monday, August 22nd, two days after his 72nd birthday and a few days after his retirement, Professor Rodolfo Ernesto Corti, who was the Chief of the Esophagus and Stomach Section of the Gastroenterology Hospital "Dr. Bonorino Udaondo" for almost three decades, left us forever. For those of us who were his colleagues and friends, his departure leaves a great void.

Rodolfo Corti had an outstanding participation in the academic life of the Gastroenterology Hospital. As Coordinator of the Teaching and Research Area, he maintained permanent and committed contact with residents, concurrent residents and numerous interns from other hospitals who passed through the different services and sections of our Hospital. He was successively Deputy Director and Director of the Gastroenterology Medical School of the University of Buenos Aires (Bonorino Udaondo academic unit) and Adjunct Professor of Gastroenterology at the University of Salvador.
