Abstract

In this first message as Editor-in-Chief of Acta Gastroenterológica Latinoamericana, I want to sincerely thank the thousands of Latin American readers, authors, and reviewers for their support. It has been more than five years since I took charge of guiding the direction of this journal, with the dual goal of making it an attractive and engaging publication for readers and achieving reindexing in PubMed.
