Resumen

Las anomalías congénitas del páncreas se originan como consecuencia del fracaso en la adecuada migración y/o fusión durante el desarrollo embriológico. Habitualmente son diagnosticadas en la edad adulta, de manera incidental en estudios imagenológicos realizados por otros motivos. Algunos pacientes pueden desarrollar síntomas como dolor abdominal o incluso generar condiciones clínicas relevantes, incluyendo obstrucción al tracto de salida gástrico, pancreatitis aguda y recurrente. En este artículo revisaremos las características imagenológicas de las anomalías congénitas pancreáticas más importantes, con énfasis en la utilización de la colangiopancreatografía por resonancia magnética.
